This policy explains how iMerge Business Solutions Pvt Ltd collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data in connection with the iMerge CRM product — including data belonging to our customers and the leads and contacts they manage inside the CRM.
This Privacy Policy is specific to the iMerge CRM product ("CRM", "the Service") offered by iMerge Business Solutions Pvt Ltd ("iMerge", "we", "us", or "our"). It explains how we handle personal data belonging to our customers (account holders and their team members) and the contacts, leads, and customers that our customers manage inside the CRM.
For information about data collected through our marketing website (imerge.in), please see our general Privacy Policy. This page governs data processed specifically within the iMerge CRM application, mobile app, and related APIs.
When you sign up for iMerge CRM, we collect your name, work email address, phone number, company name, and billing details necessary to create and manage your account.
As part of using the CRM, you and your team members may enter or import data about your own customers, leads, and contacts — including names, phone numbers, email addresses, company details, deal notes, and communication history. This data belongs to you; we process it only to provide the Service.
If you connect telephony, WhatsApp Business, or email integrations, we process call logs, call recordings, voice transcripts, message content, and email metadata so that these interactions can be tracked against the relevant contact or deal record inside the CRM.
We automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, log data, and in-app usage patterns to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We use the information above to operate core CRM features — contact and lead management, the sales pipeline, task and activity tracking, reporting dashboards, and the integrations you choose to enable.
We use account contact details to respond to support requests, send service notifications (such as billing or security alerts), and, where you have agreed, share product updates and relevant offers. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
We analyse aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to diagnose issues, improve performance, and prioritise new features. We do not use the content of your customers' or leads' records to train general-purpose AI models.
Data entered into your CRM account is visible to your team members according to the roles and permissions your administrator configures.
Where you enable integrations such as WhatsApp Business API, cloud or SIM-based telephony, email providers, or payment gateways, relevant data is shared with those providers solely to perform the integration you requested. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
We use trusted hosting, storage, and analytics providers to run the Service. These sub-processors may only access data to the extent necessary to provide their service to us and are contractually required to protect it.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of iMerge, our customers, or the public. We do not sell your data or your contacts' data to third parties.
We retain account data and the CRM records you store for as long as your subscription is active, so that the Service continues to function as expected.
Following account closure, we retain your data for a limited period to allow for reactivation or export requests, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised, except where longer retention is required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
You can access and update most account and record data directly within the CRM. You may also request a structured export of your data at any time by contacting us.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal or contractual retention requirements. Note that if you administer a CRM account on behalf of your organisation, deletion requests from individual contacts within your customer base should be directed to you as the data controller for that information.
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting support@imerge.in.
We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, network security monitoring, and regular security reviews to protect data stored in iMerge CRM. Access to customer data by our staff is limited to what is necessary for support and operations.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for configuring user roles and permissions appropriately within your organisation.
iMerge CRM is operated from India, and customer data is primarily hosted on servers located in India. Where we use sub-processors located outside India, we take reasonable steps to ensure an equivalent level of protection is applied to your data.
iMerge CRM is a business tool intended for use by organisations and their employees. It is not directed at, and should not be used to knowingly collect personal data from, individuals under the age of 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to iMerge CRM or applicable law. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date below. Material changes will be communicated to account administrators in advance where practicable.
